Embarking on life with the urgency of living each day to its fullest has shaped her path as a clinical manual therapist. Yvonne’s journey took an unexpected turn when she faced Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, a challenge that redirected her towards the wellness and fitness sphere. She embraced recreational tennis, strength training, and a medley of martial arts, which naturally progressed into a three-year stint as a fitness trainer.
Her fascination with the Functional Movement System and the intricacies of Myofascial Meridians catalyzed a transition to becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, a role carved out by her exposure as an RMT to a spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions, postural complications, and recovery from surgical interventions.
During her tenure as an RMT student, Yvonne found joy in offering her services to diverse groups including the HIV community, senior residences, women’s healthcare facilities, and various athletic events.
Her path eventually led her to pursue Osteopathy—a field where the focus shifts from diseases to the individual bearing them, aiming to restore function and mobility. Currently enrolled at the Vancouver Osteopathy School and studying Human Kinetics at Langara College, Yvonne is honing her skills to further aid her patients’ recovery and performance.
Before her foray into health and fitness, she explored the creative realm as an independent media artist with a focus on film and video production. Looking ahead, she aspires to blend her passions by creating educational content for both novices and experts in natural medicine and movement, sharing the wisdom of a life well-lived and learned

Leah pursued a career in Registered Massage Therapy to expand her knowledge of the human body and assist her clients in understanding the significance of maintaining healthy movement practices.
With a background in Business Administration from an Ontario program, Leah initially worked as an Executive Assistant. However, she soon realized her desire for a more physically engaging profession, which led her to embark on an advanced massage therapy program.
Having been involved in wrestling and rugby as a former athlete, Leah personally experienced the impact of injuries and chronic pain on one’s performance and overall well-being. Recognizing the widespread reality of pain, Leah believes that establishing a routine for rest and recovery is essential, and that a self-care regimen is instrumental in achieving progress free from discomfort. It was through her discovery of the therapeutic benefits of massage and subsequent practice that Leah felt she had found her true calling. “Massage Therapy is a deeply meditative experience for me, enabling me to focus entirely on the present moment and the individual before me. The human body serves as my road map, and I am continually amazed by the nervous system’s responses to various stimuli, facilitated through a diverse range of modalities.”
Relocating to Squamish in 2021, Leah swiftly developed an interest in rock climbing and now spends much of her free time in the gym and at the crag, as well as exploring new adventures through hiking, biking, and traveling. Leah particularly enjoys working with athletic individuals, providing stress management support, and she has also gained experience working with clients who have suffered from motor-vehicle accidents, effectively managing headaches and concussions. Her repertoire of techniques includes deep tissue work, joint mobilizations, neuro-relaxation techniques, Swedish massage, sports massage, and myofascial release. Above all, Leah prioritizes the creation of personalized treatment plans that address each client’s unique concerns and needs.
